Yoga Teacher Training

The Ayurvedic Institute now offers our students the opportunity to complete a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification Course, which earns them the credits necessary to apply for a yoga teacher certificate through the Yoga Alliance. This option is available to all current Ayurvedic Studies Program Levels 1 students in good standing as well as all ASP 1 graduates from 2003 to the present.

The Yoga Alliance (YA) has approved the Institute’s ASP 1 Optional Yoga Teacher Training as a Registered Yoga School (RYS), 200 hour level. The Ayurvedic Institute ID is #19894.

This teaching methodology course is offered concurrently with the Ayurvedic Studies Programs Levels 1 and 2. It begins in January of Quarter 2 and continues through Quarter 3, meeting weekly for each of the 20 weeks.

Prerequisites
Students wishing to complete the yoga teacher certification course will need to:

Complete and earn a certificate of Ayurvedic Studies Program Level 1 of the years mentioned in paragraph one above
Attend this additional Teaching Methodology course.

Students must be currently passing and in good standing in all concurrent ASP 1 courses. Course instructors may require extra yoga practice for some students. Additional tuition is required for this concurrent course. Details are available from the Education Administrator.
