Panchakarma Theory and Practicum

Vasant Lad, BAMS, MASc
June 27 – July 10, 2008 (2 weeks)
Panchakarma is a therapeutic Ayurvedic cleansing process that is deeply rejuvenating. Used in India for thousands of years to detoxify the body and mind on a deep cellular level, you will come away with an understanding how the doshas, toxins, and deep-seated emotional patterns move into the deep tissues and affect cellular intelligence over time. While cleansing these deep-seated toxins from the body, panchakarma also helps to purify the mind of longstanding emotional patterns. Ayurvedic cleansing includes preparatory measures such as a special diet, oil massages, steam treatments, herbs, and other time-honored methods.
Dr. Lad and the Institute’s panchakarma staff present the theoretical foundation of a successful panchakarma program and also give practical, hands-on experience of this ancient art. You will practice panchakarma procedures on each other under the guidance of Dr. Lad and our experienced team. Learn how to apply specific techniques that are suitable for each dosha. Incorporate the importance of cultivating a daily routine including dietary, spiritual, and lifestyle practices that maintain health and rejuvenate the body after panchakarma.
For the first time ever, this 74 hour intensive includes 30 hours of practical hands-on training in the techniques of abhyanga, shirodhara, swedana, nasya and other methods utilized in panchakarma.
Pricing, Full 14-Day Intensive
$1525.50 – 30 day Early Bird
$1525.50 – Members, seniors and graduates
$1695 – Standard enrollment
To register, call our office at (505) 291-9698 then press "0" to talk to our staff. Payment in full is due at time of enrollment.
