Water: An Elemental Exploration of Ayurveda
a line

Nomi Gallo, MEd
November 14 – 16, 2014

Water: An Elemental Exploration of Ayurveda Flyer Click HereJoin Nomi Gallo on a journey that takes each student through a guided exploration of the element of water. How do you see it, experience it, invite or recoil from it? We will mark our journey through various sources including the Atharvaveda, theatrical and creative games, hymns, pathology, physiology, and psychology.

We begin our journey with the beginning… the vedas. Reading from the Atharvaveda, we will explore the elemental reality of water through prayer, verse and song.

How to we experience water? What is its form and structure? Using movement techniques, we can experience the boundaries that are created that move the water. Just as every river has its banks and boulders that increase and decrease its speed, flow, and direction, so too do we use boundaries to move our own water.
Ayurveda understands our world and all that is within it through the five basic elements. Once we have a sense of what water is, we will explore how it manifests as physical and psychological imbalances. We then discuss how to use this understanding to identify the imbalance and then treat it.

As we move from our elemental understanding into the practical use of elements, we can expand then to see the element of water on the cosmic level, to experience water as consciousness. Learn techniques to develop consciousness; experience techniques to create water in our lives.

Join us for this unique journey into the watery depth of meditation, spirituality, health, and consciousness as we dive into the ocean water.

How to Heal Psychological Trauma in Daily Relationships

Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc
March 27 – 29, 2015

Healing Psychological Trauma Seminar FlyerRelationships are the foundation of how we view ourselves in the world. We identify ourselves through our status and function with others. This identification can often lead to disturbances in the mind and within our own self-esteem as well as other chronic physical issues. Traumas in our lives can also create great blocks within us, causing harm to other relationships and, more importantly, creating difficulty in the most important relationship, the relationship to self.

Join us for this practical guide for healthy, happy relationships where Vasant Lad, Ayurvedic Physician, will walk us through an intimate understanding of relationships through the eyes of both Ayurveda and the philosophies that Ayurveda accepts as valid. He will help us to understand how to support both the gross body as well as the subtle body through herbs and subtle therapies.

Palmistry Paves the Path to Perfection: Practical Guidelines to Medical Palmistry
line

Vasant Lad, BAM&S, MASc
May 15 – 17, 2015

Palmistry Seminar FlyerJoin us for this unprecedented weekend where Vasant Lad, Ayurvedic Physician, will lead us through understanding the palm as a diagnostic tool. As an alternative assessment tool, palmistry can unlock secrets of a person’s mental state or give reasons as to why certain choices are made repeatedly, thereby assisting the practitioner in giving advice that is more uniquely suited to them.

The palm can unlock secrets to the planetary influences leading to a pattern of choices in a person’s life. Reading the palm can offer guidance into more subtle therapies that will serve a client well. The map of the palm is a mystery that has intrigued people for thousands of years. Perhaps this is due to its amazing ability to show exactly what is happening within us, offering reasons for why we do the things we do.

This mystery is something we carry at the end of our arm every day of our lives. It serves us by cooking, typing, and brushing our hair. This practical appendage also contains secrets to our wellbeing.

Vasant Lad, Ayurvedic Physician, will move us through the subtleties of seeing the palm in a new light. He will take us beyond the hairbrush and the stove and into the realm of self-inquiry and self-healing.
