Through hands-on practice we learn to embody the richness and sacredness of Ayurvedic body therapies.

The Ayurvedic Institute’s Panchakarma Hands-On Practicum is an immersive, in-depth training where students learn to provide hands-on Ayurvedic body therapies that go beyond the technical elements of the procedures and into the space of moment-to-moment awareness.

Panchakarma Technician Program — Hands-on Ayurvedic Body Therapies

Even though this is not the year for travel, we offer you a synopsis of what the past training has been like with the descriptions from our 2019 courses.

We will NOT be offering these programs in the Fall season of 2020 for the safety of all: students, staff and clients. We encourage you to stay safe and take care of each other. We will keep you posted as our programs come to fruition.

The Ayurvedic Institute’s Panchakarma Therapist Training is an immersive, in-depth training offered at The Vasanta Institute of Ayurveda in Pune, India. In this training, you’ll learn about panchakarma from a traditional perspective, informed by Vasant Lad’s decades of experience, adapted for the modern context. In these studies, students learn to administer the Ayurvedic therapies that are part of a panchakarma protocol. During the training, you will administer treatments to panchakarma clients, supporting them during their process, while you learn along Vasant Lad and other support faculty.
This program offers the opportunity to experience the profound effect of Ayurvedic body therapies. As students in this program you will not only administer treatments to panchakarma clients, but to one another. It is the therapies that are the true teachers of this program; it is through them that the essence of Ayurveda is able to offer its wisdom and love.

As a therapist, we hold sacred space for transformation and healing to occur.

Being of service in a healing capacity offers an enormous opportunity for self-reflection, personal healing and professional growth. The program is designed to support students in gaining competency to perform Ayurvedic body therapies for the purpose of shodhana (cleansing measures) and shamana (palliative measure), and to support and help deliver panchakarma treatment program.

Panchakarma is such a beautiful teacher; all of the therapies have their own lessons.
