Training Programs In Pune, India

The Ayurvedic Institute offers several Ayurveda training programs in India including: our Gurukula immersion into authentic Ayurveda and our hands-on Ayurvedic body therapy (panchakarma) training as well as a two-week Fundamentals of Gurukula study at the Institute in India-

They are held at Vasant Lad’s Vasanta Institute of Ayurveda. These all-inclusive residential programs were created with Western standards in mind. From the moment you are picked up from the airport, all of your needs for living an Ayurvedic lifestyle are provided. These one-of-a-kind small-group immersive trainings enable you to uncover what the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda has to teach you.
We are pausing our trainings in India for 2021, in consideration for the safety of all: students, staff and clients. Here we offer a synopsis of what the past trainings have been like with the descriptions from our 2019 courses. We encourage you to stay safe and take care of each other. Panchakarma Hands-On Practicum

The Ayurvedic Institute’s Panchakarma Hands-On Practicum is an immersive, in-depth training where students learn to provide hands-on Ayurvedic body therapies that go beyond the technical elements of the procedures and into the space of moment-to-moment awareness.

Pune Gurukula Program

The Ayurvedic Institute’s Gurukula Program is an opportunity for you to dive deeply into this ancient science to advance your current understanding of Ayurveda. You’ll have lecture time in class with Vasant Lad and our other experienced faculty to cover theory and develop practical skills. You’ll apply what you learn in clinic as you support Vasant Lad in his client consultations, prepare formulas, and otherwise help in running the community clinic.

Fundamentals of Gurukula

Partake in an invaluable opportunity to study authentic Ayurveda with Vasant Lad, MASc, Ayurvedic Physician, in his home town of Pune, India. Spend Monday through Thursdays at the Vasanta Institute of Ayurveda (VIOA), attending Vasant Lad’s morning lecture and participating in grand rounds in the afternoons as well as observing Vasant Lad as he works with clients from the VIOA neighborhood.
