The pituitary gland is the director of the endocrine system. The music of life is played in different time and rhythm by the various endocrine glands. Ayurveda uses herbs to support the supervisor and other glands to promote harmony in the function of the body. When all are working in concert together, the manager communicates easily with the different granthi (glands). Then the body’s music is harmonious and elegant. The complexity of the body’s hormonal function can lead to difficulties that are both mental and physical. Ayurveda can adjust this with the intricacy and grace needed to support such a subtle system. In this weekend seminar, Vasant Lad, Ayurvedic Physician, will discuss specific herbal protocols for balancing the function of the glands (granthi). We will explore the different parts of the endocrine system, specifically addressing their functions and ways support them when they are in disharmony. Please join us for this refreshing look at a complex system through the ancient eyes of Ayurveda.
