Art of Clinical Practicum:The Ancient Ayurvedic Clinical Art
Dr. Vasant Lad BAM&S, MASc
July 3rd, 2009Below is full lecture outline (Friday lectures are just an Introduction)
Developed for Ayurvedic practitioners and health care providers with Ayurvedic training, this seminar is for those who are seeking to enhance their Ayurvedic consultation skills through study with an experienced and respected Ayurvedic physician. Vasant Lad helps the physician and student enter the heart of the patient with the light of knowledge and a sense of compassion. Darshana (observation), sparshana (touch), and prashna (dialogue) unfold your awareness of the inner samprapti (stage of imbalance).
Every person is a living book and reading that book is the fascinating art that you will learn in this clinical practicum. Vasant Lad will share how to integrate western and Ayurvedic views to get a complete picture of pathogenesis. Enhance your ability to consult with the client, learn to communicate at their level of need and understanding and have your consultation be a meeting ground of education, intuition and clinical experience. This is a problem-based, client-centered approach to Ayurvedic assessment and recommendations.
